Coldplay, Mike Oldfield among rock stars celebrated on Royal Mail stamps |

Coldplay's "A Rush of Blood to the Head" is among ten legendary British rock album covers depicted on a new series of British postage stamps that went on sale on January 7. The other top line act are: The Rolling Stones, David Bowie, New Order, Blur, Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, Mike Oldfield, Primal Scream and the famous cover of The Clash bassist crashing his guitar on stage. Because British law does not allow living persons other than members of the Royal Family to appear on Royal Mail postage stamps, none of the images depict the faces of the rock stars themselves.
