Poland is to deport around 4,000 illegal immigrants from Georgia in the next few months, the Russian news agency Interfax and Georgian media reported on Friday, citing the Georgian Ambassador to Poland Konstatin Kavtaradze.
A popular route to claiming asylum in EU-member Poland is via the Belarus border. The Ambassador said these applications had been refused.
Poles coming to the UK have been part of a wave of legitimate migration.
