ADVERTORIAL

Poland’s political and economic transformation, which began 20 years ago and culminated in EU accession five years ago, has greatly benefited British business.

Join the BPCC for a morning seminar where there will be an opportunity to:

·    examine the effect of migration and recruitment from Poland
·    consider what opportunities still exist in the strongest economy in Central Europe
·    celebrate the success of British companies in Poland.

The transformation of Poland from centrally-planned one-party dictatorship to free market democracy has created huge opportunities for businesses. British companies, along with firms from across Western Europe, America and Japan, have invested profitably in Poland, creating new jobs, bringing know-how and new management skills, and helping to raise Poland's GDP.

Much attention is currently being paid to migration. This event will look at the benefits Polish workers have brought the UK economy, the issues that migration has raised in British society and the impact of initiatives to encourage Poles to return home to a less troubled economy.

Despite the economic crisis, Poland is standing strongly in its region. There are many areas that British business is well positioned to take advantage of which shall be highlighted during the event – infrastructure development, the energy sector, public services, environmental protection, agrifood, retail and outsourcing. 67 billion euros of EU funds are going to make their impact felt. The BPCC is committed to maximising opportunities for UK businesses in Poland and will have experts on hand to answer questions delegates may have beyond the scope of the presentations.

Following the event there will be a networking buffet lunch, served outside (weather permitting).
